Education:
Megan Head is from Carrollton, Georgia. She graduated cum laude from
Florida State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communications. Thereafter, she earned her Juris Doctorate from
Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, graduating cum
laude. During her tenure at Cumberland, Megan was active in the
National Trial Team, which was ranked ninth in the Nation in 2009
U.S. World Reports. She was awarded Best Advocate at the NACDL Trial
Competition in 2008 and was an advocate on the winning team of the
Regional TYLA Trial Competition in 2009. She was also awarded the
Roe Frazer Merit Scholarship and merit awards in advanced trial
skills, legal writing, and contracts. Megan was selected as a Judge
Abraham Caruthers Fellow, 2009 Who's Who Among American Law
Students, and received the American Board of Trial Advocates Award
and the Certificate of Trial Advocacy.
Practice Areas:
She is an Associate in the Firm with a practice concentrated in
product liability, family law and litigation, and workers’ compensation, along with insurance
defense and automotive litigation.
Professional Profile:
Megan is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Women Lawyers
Section of the Birmingham Bar, the Birmingham Volunteer Lawyers
Program, and the Order of Barristers. She continues to be active in
Cumberland’s National Trial program by serving as judge for various
trial competitions. She is licensed to practice in the Northern,
Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. |
