Education:
Cannon Lawley received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Honors
Program in Forest Resources at Auburn University and Doctor of
Jurisprudence from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Practice Areas:
Cannon is a partner in the Firm and his areas of
practice include construction litigation, aviation litigation, real estate litigation,
Civil Rights litigation, intellectual property/trade secrets, product liability, fraud, employment, and
other complex litigation. He also represents land owners in
evaluating and negotiating land use leases, timber contracts, land
sales contracts, and alternative land use income opportunities.
Cannon has handled cases throughout Alabama in both state and
federal court.
Professional Profile:
He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, Alabama Defense
Lawyer’s Association, Birmingham Bar Association, American Bar
Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to
practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh
Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Northern and
Middle Districts of Alabama. He has spoken on areas of construction
law, including the Implied Warranty of Habitability under Alabama
law, as a seminar lecturer. Cannon is also very active with the
Alabama Department of Conservation, assisting in environmental
conservation and sponsoring Alabama Economic Development events for
potential new business in the state. |
